• Context:

A trip to Sauvie Island Center is a rich and unique opportunity for Portland youth to visit and explore the Sauvie Island Organics Farm and the grounds of Howell Territorial Park, managed by Metro. 

  • Requirements:

– Volunteer Farm Educator Training:
New Volunteer Orientation: Thursday, March 10th, 6:00-8:00pm
“Sense of Program”: Thursday, March 31st, 10:00am-3:00pm
“Sense of Place”: Friday, April 1st, 2016, 10:00am-3:00pm 

– SPRING 2016 field trips begin Tuesday, April 5th and run through Friday, June 17th.  Each trip is approximately a 5.5 hour volunteer day from 8:30am -2:00pm.

– Our trained educators are asked to commit to leading a minimum of 5 field trips during the season.

  • Locations:

March 10th – Hatch Innovative Lab
March 31st and April 1st – Sauvie Island on site at Howell Territorial Park
