The Executive Director Assistant with aid with the general everyday duties of the Executive Director, as well as helping with current projects and campaigns.
Assist the Executive Director in day-to-day activities and facilitates the efficiency, order and harmony of the office
Maintain exact records of checks and cash, and produce written reports to the Bookkeeper
Help the Executive Director arrange monthly meetings with the Executive Committee. Prepare meeting agenda, send reminders and phone calls
Work collaboratively with the VOZ team
Open and distribute correspondences specifically for the Executive Director (this includes electronic communications)
Organize Executive Director’s mail and correspondence
Database entry and management
Research as needed
Strong personal interest in human rights and social justice advocacy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to draft clear and concise text for producing documents, letters, and other reports as needed
Excellent time management, organizational, and computer software skills
- Time commitment
8-12 hours per week, 2 or 3 days a week in the office for 3 to 5 hours for 5-6 months (start and end dates will depend on the applicant’s availability and the organization’s needs).
Unpaid position but will accept inquiries for academic credit
