AKA Science!

Big Picture Information:

AKA Science is an after-school program that gives K-6 students an opportunity to experience the hands-on fun of science. Many of the sites are located in high-poverty areas, giving deserving students an opportunity they might otherwise be denied. AKA Science creates the curriculum, trains the instructors, and gathers the materials into “kits” needed to complete 8 classes on the current theme. The fall theme is Biology!

Volunteers are needed to count, sort and bundle supplies for the upcoming term. It’s easy work, but there’s lots to do! This is a casual, low-key volunteer opportunity for anyone who enjoys organization, team-work, learning and fun!

Location:
Dancing Tree Family Center
10055 E Burnside St.
Portland, OR 97216

AKA Science needs help at these times next week and would be very excited if a group was willing to come in! AKA Science is flexible with the exact arrival and departure times, and will be happy to work around schedules as well.
