If you love company, talking with others, and helping the community, then why not do all of these things at the same time? Seniors begin coming to the Forest Grove Senior Center 2037 Douglas Street at 8AM for coffee, to read the paper and enjoy one another’s company. When seniors were surveyed by students at Pacific University they said the number one thing they would like to have more of is interaction with younger folks. The lunch period is noon to one. Students could come anytime from 8-1PM and have lunch and/or coffee with seniors to provide their company. This may seem like a small thing, but seniors really benefit from intergenerational interaction and someone to share with—someone to listen to them can mean more than any of the activities they do. This is a great opportunity for anyone, and will be a rewarding and fun experience!
