What: National Trails Day in Forest Park
When: Saturday, June 1st, 9 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Detailed site assignments will be emailed to registrants in the days leading up to the work party.
All training, tools, and gloves provided. REI will supply the volunteer coffee, snacks, and prizes.
Volunteer Crew Leader Training: Trails Edition
Want to develop your trail skills and give back to Forest Park? Forest Park Conservancy is hosting a full-day Crew Leader Training for volunteers interested in taking on a leadership role at larger FPC trail work parties. The training will cover such topics as volunteer leadership and safety, trail maintenance practices, and trail repair techniques.
When: Saturday, May 18th, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Help Protect Portland’s Natural Areas!
Volunteer phone bank to help pass the Metro Measure 26-152, Natural Areas, Water Quality Levy.
When: May 6th and May 8th, 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Part of what makes Portland an attractive place to live is the surrounding natural beauty. Voters have given Metro money in the past to protect natural areas from becoming strip malls or subdivisions. This measure helps Metro fulfill its mission as steward of those lands.
