Volunteer at South Meadows Career Day

Volunteers are needed to give presentations to 7th and 8th graders at South Meadows Middle School.  The presentations are for their Career Day and are designed to expose students to different careers and the educational paths necessary to get into those careers.  You don’t have to be an expert, but if you have a set interest in becoming a health professional, social worker, or whatever, you can talk about your own path from high school to college, what you are studying in college, how you are preparing for graduate school, that kind of thing. You will be given more information about what to present by the school.  You would give the same presentation back to back to different groups, and also be in the same session with a local professional in a related field (so it’s a networking opportunity for you, too!).

Career Day is Thursday, April 11th, and you’d need to be available from 8:30-11:30 AM.

Please contact Stephanie Stokamer in the CCE at stok@pacificu.edu if you are interested.
