Native Planting in Forest Park: February 9th

Thanks to the invasive ivy-pulling efforts of volunteers like you, baby trees and shrubs have room to grow again. Join the Forest Park Conservancy for a morning of native planting in Forest Park! 

What: Forest Park Volunteer Work Party

When: Saturday, February 9th,  9:00 am to noon

Where: Birch Trailhead via NW 53rd Drive (Follow link to view map.)

Plan to pack plenty of water and dress for all-weather conditions. Long pants and sturdy, close-toed shoes are required for your safety. Tools, snacks and prizes will be provided.

Spring Day of Stewardship: March 9th

Join Forest Park Conservancy’s Spring Day of Stewardship and be one of 200 volunteers helping to restore native habitat in and around Forest Park. Invasive plant removal and native tree planting will be followed by free food, drink and raffle prizes at NW Portland’s Mission Theater.

What: Forest Park Spring Day of Stewardship

When: Saturday, March 9th,  9 am to 12:30 pm

Where: Detailed site assignments will be emailed to registered participants the week of the event.

Upcoming Discovery Hikes

Break out your boots, dust off your packs and hop into one of Forest Park Conservancy’s guided hikes! FPC’s Discovery Hike Series is a great opportunity to get outside and learn more about the natural and cultural history of Forest Park.
