HELP A CHILD THIS SUMMER, GIVE THEM LUNCH

Did you know that Oregon is the WORST state in the country for hungry children? There is a child food insecurity rate of 29.2%. That means 29.2% of children do not know when their next meal is going to be. You can help that by volunteering this summer one hour a day, one day a week at Lincoln Park.

The Forest Grove Summer Park Program needs about six volunteers every Monday from the beginning of June to the end of July to pick up the lunches from Joseph Gale Elementary, bring them to Lincoln Park, serve the children lunch, and then play with them for the remainder of the hour. It’s an easy, fun way to give back to the community. It also looks great on resumes and it is important for the children of Forest Grove, ages 1-18.

Remember, one hour a week can make a difference in a child’s life.
